Cassockman in Edinburgh

Inspired by a family trip to Edinburgh and a tour round the new Scottish Parliament buildings, a one-off episode was put together and presented to our host, Revd Dr John Young of Liberton Kirk.

Looking along the front of the building, at the bottom of

the Royal Mile, you see the Salisbury Crags.

 

The debating chamber, like much of the rest of the building,

makes use of wood and other materials from around Scotland

 

 

The rest of the complex has a variety of architectural styles...

 

...and includes these MSP* offices with window seats and 

a rather odd set of "bars" across the windows.
